My trepidation over A-Z blogging month

I signed up to the April A-Z blogging challenge because I am....

A - certifiably stupid

B - competitive

C - don't like feeling excluded

But just a day away I am starting to get cold feet about the notion of blogging every day, on top of everything else. Let's just say I have an idea for A and B but after that it gets difficult.

A theme would be useful, but - like everything else in life - maybe I'll just wing it.

At least my challenge may not be as hard as that faced by one blogger out there.

"I'm going to blog about architectural elements that could be used in dungeons," he declared.

Well good luck with that. Sounds like a great read. But do excuse me if I fail to ever find your blog again.

In this life, anyhow.

  2. I think I went to school with the dungeon guy :(
Seriously, the challenge should be fun! I suppose most of us are a bit nervous. But there's no teacher standing over me with a ruler, so I'm not too stressed. Have a good time with it!

  4. Dungeon as in the castle kind or the sex room kind? Huge difference I think.

  5. Oh my. Thanks for the laugh, David. I think that's the biggest laugh you got out of me to date. Good job.
PS I'll be sweating it out too. I'll look for you when dodging architectural anythings.

  9. hey Jennifer - apparently you are meant to blog every day in April (except sundays) and go through all of the letter of the alphabet. Tis true, Li,at least we are not graded. Cool Monica,I followed you back, what's GFC? Thanks Granpa, I need it. Wouldn't know Oilfield, but would agree, there's a difference. Well I always like to make you chortle Robyn; I'll be looking to you for inspiration. Thanx Marnie, you should try it. 4 sure Tim,I think I first read about it on your blog. good luck

  11. I'm having second thoughts here as well, but I was counting on you for my fill of irreverence and humour! Dungeons would have been a good theme, pity it's taken. Crap, it starts tomorrow doesn't it...drat...

  12. *snort* Looks like you've got A-C covered already... (Even if two of them starts with C and one with D. But I figure the rules are more like, guidelines. Yeah)

And if you're stuck you can always check out dungeon-guy's site and use it as a tool to figure out what NOT to blog about. The beauty of elimination...

  13. Good luck to you! HA! I've done the A-Z thing on one of my blogs three times through, I think, but we did have a theme each time. Ours was just once a week not every day too, and even that was a challenge for me to find the time to do it! I'll stay tuned to see how you do. :D

  16. Try a word of the day theme. One word and definition each day. It's short and simple and you'll feel like you accomplished something in the end. Good luck. I look forward to reading more from you.

  18. Haha love the example of the theme. I've already stumbled across a few blogs like that, with a scope so limited I hope I don't click on them again. (So mean! I'm sorry.) After seeing a lot of blogs that DID have themes, I contemplated it for about two minutes before realizing a letter a day was challenge enough for me. I'm glad I've found your blog to follow!

On Blog PTSD

Now then. What the heck. It seems I had forgotten about my blog completely rather than just neglecting it this time. To return after so long...
