Lame Post Tuesday - top images from London, Paris etc.

I've been too busy and pooped to post recently so I have been desperately looking for copout ideas that border on larceny, although not the kind that involves climbing into a transformer and stealing copper.

Gosh - where did that come from? Being a crime correspondent for a couple of years has some uses.

Idea one was stealing stuff from my Google+ feed that I seldom read because I've got more feeds going on that the local foodbank at Christmas. Here's one gem.

"John Taylor is my Mom and I's favorite guy from Duran Duran! Even though they are all hot!"

And British too Izzy.

So here's the idea. Enduring images of your town. Shove the name of the city in Google images and see what image comes up first. I guessed Paris and Rome correctly but failed miserably on London.

PARIS

That wasn't predictable

ROME

Likewise

NEW YORK

A fail - I assumed it would be the big pointy building

LONDON

A fail on grown men wearing teddy bears on their heads...

ST LOUIS

It had to be the world's biggest McDonalds

CAPE TOWN

Another fail- This is a University campus, I assumed it would be that flat mountain.

CAIRO

Fail again - what about the pyramids dude?

AND THE PRIDE OF NORTH CAROLINA'S TOURISM INDUSTRY, ROCKY MOUNT

So ends possibly the lamest blog post I have ever written. This does give me an idea for a blogfest, though - what was your lamest post?

  1. We stayed in Rocky Mount on the way home from Florida in 1976 when I was 11. I learned to play pinball in the hotel game room on that trip. Oh, lamest post? No idea. Probably something from 2006 or 07.

  2. Wow, that's Cairo? And can those men see out of those teddy bears? Must be unbearable. Sorry! Love your McDonald's joke, though.

  3. I don't think I label any of my posts as 'lame' so I couldn't possibly remember which one was the lamest. :)

  4. I don't think this was a lame post. "The big pointy building" and "teddy bears on their heads" both made me laugh. :-)

As for my lamest post, I remember once posting a poem (of sorts) about Batman (a little plastic toy one, not the real Batman) taking a bubble bath. Hahaha!

  7. Just to show you how vain I am, I put my city's name in google and when the first image popped up, I immediately was like "oh wow, that's a stunning photo!" only to realize 10 seconds later that it was MY photo from my blog, which I had taken a year ago. I guess google puts your images up first in image search. Haha!

Oh, and I've had loads of lame posts. To name them would put me to sleep.

I hope you have a fantastic weekend. xoxo

  8. Oh lordy, I visit way too many fashion blogs. I just realized I left hugs and kisses on my last comment. Um, we're at that stage, right? Bffs? LOL!

  9. First of all; you can't have "lame" and "Paris" in the same sentence.

I liberally label many of my posts as lame. I really should think that through!

Not only do I lame post, but I use emoticons and exclamation points. Oh dear. I am seriously lame.

You, however, are not. Lame that is.

Don't try to steal the only thing I have.

    :)
